With more and more mp4 players arriving on the marker place Archos have made its stand point with it great success from its previous video players models.

Archos have put together a perfect entry level model player with a standard 8GB capacity for up to 4,000 songs this will not be a problem for storage, its available in two slick shiny colours black or white and with a credit card size small enough to carry around without any problems. This is an excellent buy if you are looking to purchase the Archos 2 before charismas as a present or even a birthday gift surprise; it’s packed with great features such like built-in microphone so you can recorded things that you forget.

Bought this for long distance cycling. Very good value.

First impressions , As a whole seems solid, buttons are a bit flimsy, but very good build quality for the price. Much better than a sandisk i have used before. Audio quality is good, don’t bother with the included headphones, get some in ear ones, much more comfortable. Although generally the standard headphones for all mp3 players are terrible. File transfer over USB is quick and easy. Charges through mini usb aswell. Just plugged the player straight in and started transferring, no silly software.Radio works ok and is relatively easy to use. I haven’t tried the video feature, other than watching the demo video. Doubt i will put any videos on this as I will use my Archos 605 for that. All in all very good value.

Bought this item as a cheap alternative to an i. pod nano. i already have a 4gig i.pod mini. i have found the archos to be excellent easy to use, tranfer time i found very fast when transfering mp3 files. i have used the radio but not very much as i mainly wanted it to play music. at the price it is half the price of the nano and has twice the capacity 8 gig. headphone as on most mp3s are not that good. but the money you would save if you where going to buy an i.pod will pay for a good pair and still be in profit, i have downloaded a few pics onto it these where excellent quailty. cannot fault this player and for £40 i think this is a bargain.
